Fruits and vegetables are some of the easiest and most convenient foods that make a delicious snack. They don’t require preparation and are easy to keep around you wherever you may be. Fruits and vegetables are low in calories and contain a variety of important nutrients. Here are some examples of some fruits and vegetables you can eat and the amount of calories in each.
-A medium-sized apple: approximately 72 calories
-A medium-sized orange: approximately 62 calories
-A cup of grapes: approximately 110 calories
-A large peach: approximately 60 calories
-A medium-sized pear: approximately 96 calories
-A cup of strawberries: approximately 53 calories

Yogurt and cottage cheese are other types of healthy snacks that are quick and convenient. When choosing yogurt, make sure you buy a brand that is fat-free or low in fat and contains no added sugars. A container of fat-free and no sugar added yogurt contains approximately 60 calories and has about 5 grams of protein. As with yogurt, make sure you choose cottage cheese that is fat-free or low in fat. A cup of cottage cheese has about 125 calories and 25 grams of protein.
