D&J's Favorite Protein Pancakes!
Here is one of our personal favorite meals. These cook best on a flat skillet. Slow cook them for best results. Keep the heat on medium to low. Spray the skillet Pam and use a paper towel to absorb excess
Ingredients:
1-2 scoops of Chocolate Protein Powder (Good choices are Amplify or WPI)
1/2 cup of egg whites
1/2 cup of rolled oats
1/4 cup fruit of choice (apples, bananas, berries!!)
Splenda
Cinnamon
Instructions:
In a microwaveable bowl combine 1/4 cup of water with rolled oats and cook for 1-2 minutes or until they are a thick consistency. Mix in egg whites, protein powder, fruit of choice, splenda and cinnamon. Mix well and use 1/4 cup to pour individual pancakes onto heated skillet, flip when the bottom side has browned.
Syrup Alternatives:
1. Mix a small amount of protein powder with a bit of water and splenda, pour over pancakes.
2. Even better! Mix Splenda with a small bit of water and pour over your pancakes.
